Beauticians caught sniffing shabu in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY — Four beauticians and their helper were caught sniffing shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in a rented room in Villasis town in Pangasinan province on Sunday.

Danilo Gabor, 24; Fernando Bautista, 41; Jaruphe Ramones, 22; David Sambrano Mencias, 28; and their helper Marlon Acosta, 26, have been detained at the Villasis police jail, according to Senior Insp. Rodrigo Lubiano, Villasis deputy police chief.

They were arrested at 3 a.m. in their boarding house at Barangay (village) Zone 2 following a complaint from a concerned citizen.

Lubiano said some of the participants in the drug session managed to escape.

Seized from the beauticians’ room were two sachets containing shabu, a lighter, rolled aluminum foils, and empty plastic sachets with shabu residue. JE/rga
