2 men on way home from drinking spree killed in Batangas

BATANGAS CITY — Two men have been killed by an unidentified gunman as they were traveling on a motorcycle in Laurel town in Batangas province, police said.

Inspector Bartolome De Villa Jr., Laurel police chief, said the gunman shot and killed Tereso Ariola, 56, and a man only known by the nickname “Enteng,”  while the two were on board a motorcycle traveling along a road in Poblacion 1 at around 6:45 p.m. on May 24.

Investigation showed that the victims were on their way home from a drinking spree when they were attacked just a few meters away from Ariola’s residence.  The two died on the spot while the gunman fled on board a motorcycle.
