3 dead in bus, motorcycle head-on collision in Oriental Mindoro

CITY OF CALAPAN, Oriental Mindoro — Three died when a Roll-on/Roll-off (Ro-Ro) bus and a motorcycle collided Wednesday night in Socorro town in Oriental Mindoro province, a police report said on Thursday.

A report from Oriental Mindoro Provincial Police Office said the bus, driven by Larry Dagohoy Lacito, collided head-on with a motorcycle, driven by Randy Ramos Reyes, at around 10 p.m. ib Strong Republic Nautical Highway in Barangay Leuteboro.

Reyes and his backriders, Norman Mendoza and Jaymar Asi, suffered serious head injuries that caused their instantaneous death. The motorcycle was totally wrecked.

Bus driver Lacito and his passengers were unhurt. Police took Lacito under their custody. –Madonna T. Virola /atm
