2 men killed, 1 hurt in bar stabbing

Two construction workers were killed while another was wounded in a stabbing incident at a videoke bar in Makati City before dawn on Sunday.

Police identified the fatalities as Jemar Octavo, 30, and Jay Locre, 24, stay-in workers of Monolith Construction located on Chino Roces Avenue, Barangay Sta. Cruz.

The two died on the spot due to chest stab wounds in front of the nearby Joke Box Videoke Bar.

The other victim, Teodorico Olaguer, 22, was brought to the hospital for stabwounds.

According to the victims’ companions, they were inside the bar when three men from another table approached them and asked Olaguer if they could talk to him outside, case investigator PO2 John Marlou Garcia said.

Octavo and Locre, however, decided to accompany their friend. When they stepped out, a commotion ensued and the victims were attacked. Investigators have yet to determine the suspects’ identities and motives.
