Teens stabbed by farmer in Ifugao
BAGUIO CITY—Two teenagers were stabbed by a farmer on Monday night (April 17) during a community fair at Alfonso Lista town in Ifugao province, the Cordillera police said.
Rene Juan, 16, and his 17-year-old companion, Jezrael Bil-agon, were playing at the fair when they were attacked without provocation by Gaudencio Bracino, 36, a farmer who had migrated from Albay, at 10:30 p.m.
Bracino stabbed Juan in the back using an ice pick, and attacked Bil-agon when he tried to intervene. The boys are being treated at the Santiago City Hospital.
Bracino fled and is currently the subject of a police manhunt./rga
