Faces of the News: Kiefer Ravena

Former Ateneo star Kiefer Ravena faced his toughest— and perhaps most embarrassing—challenge yet in his young basketball career.

But it happened off court as the once model athlete had to apologize over leaked private photos. Ravena,

who’s in a relationship with volleyball superstar Alyssa Valdez, said he regretted engaging a woman in sensual conversations online.

“I made a mistake,” said the 6-foot guard. “I’m very, very sorry for what happened. Something that I really regret doing. It messed up a lot of people’s lives.”

Last week, Ravena filed a case against Kristoffer Monico Ng, who was nabbed for allegedly leaking the lewd photos on social media.

But the 23-year-old standout hopes to move on from the controversy by focusing on his games with Alab Pilipinas in the Asean Basketball League.
