Drug suspect abducted then found dead in Batangas
BATANGAS CITY—A jobless man who surrendered to the Malvar police on Saturday was found dead Monday night in Malvar town in Batangas province, police said.
Senior Inspector Arwin Baby Caimbon, Malvar police chief, said Jhoven Codizal was found dead with bullet wounds in different parts of his body in Malvar’s Poblacion at around 10 p.m. Codizal surrendered to the authorities on December 3 after he was included on the police drug watch list.
Caimbon also said that Codizal was kidnapped in Barangay (village) Bilucao, also in Malvar, by unidentified suspects on board a car before he was dumped at the market in Poblacion with bullet wounds.
Police have yet to identify the suspects in the killing./rga
