The House of Representatives is set to start an investigation of alleged corruption at the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) next week.

Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez advised the energy committee to look into the controversy that followed the Nov. 9 suicide of ERC director Francisco Jose Villa Jr.

“We’re already studying that. I already advised the committee on energy to look into how we can address the problem at the ERC,” Alvarez told reporters late Tuesday.—VINCE F. NONATO
