MAN SHOT AT HOME

A 57-YEAR-OLD man was shot and wounded in barangay Pardo, Cebu City, last Thursday night.

Ricardo Cruz sustained a graze wound in the head.

He was fixing the electrical connection of his store when two men on a motorcycle arrived around 7 p.m.

Police said the two men approached Cruz r then opened fire and drove off.

Relatives brought Cruz to the Cebu City Medical Center.

GIRL NABBED FOR THEFT

AN 11-YEAR-OLD girl was arrested after stealing the wallet of a policewoman in barangay Sto. Niño, Cebu, yesterday afternoon.

The girl cried hard when she was brought to the police station, saying she was forced to steal so she could afford the cost of processing her birth certificate which she needed for school.

P01 Irish Buena, 34, assigned at the Carcar City police station, was in a store looking at shoulder bags on display when the girl took her wallet.

The policewoman chased the girl and recovered her wallet containing P1,620.
