Grease triggers fire in Makati mall resto; no one hurt, losses at P20K
MANILA — Fire hit a restaurant in a mall in Makati City Sunday night due to accumulated grease in the kitchen duct, arson investigators said.
The fire broke out at 7:55 p.m. in the kitchen of Hacienda Inasal owned by Arceli Aldeguer, SFO3 Gerson Moncada and FO2 Roel Pacubat said.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor of Glorietta 3, Parkway Drive, Ayala Center, Barangay San Lorenzo.
The fire was initially reported to have started at the nearby Gold’s Gym.
No one was reported hurt.
Article continues after this advertisementThe fire reached first alarm at 8:05 p.m. with 11 fire trucks and two ambulances responding. It was put out at 9:09 p.m.
The cost of damage was estimated at P20,000. SFM/rga
