Fire hits residential area in Cebu City

CEBU CITY—Houses made of light materials were destroyed in a fire that hit a residential area in Barangay (village) Suba, Cebu City on Monday morning.

No one was hurt, said Cebu City Fire Marshal Rogelio Bongabong.

Investigators had yet to determine the damage as well as the number of houses that were burned down.

Bongabong said they received the fire alarm at 11:20 a.m. It was placed under control at noon. RAM/rga
