Businessman shot dead in Oriental Mindoro town

CITY OF CALAPAN—A businessman was shot dead  in Gloria town in Oriental Mindoro province on Monday morning, police said.

Insp. Ruel Lito Fronda, Gloria police chief, said Joel Seno Loto, 42, who was engaged in trading steel trusses, was shot dead by two men on a motorcycle in Barangay (village) Kawit at 10:15 a.m.

Loto died while being taken to the Pinamalayan Community Hospital in Pinamalayan town.

The suspects, who wore helmets, fled toward Bansud town.
