‘Karen’ intensifies; Catanduanes under signal no. 3
As severe tropical storm “Karen” nears landfall, Catanduanes is now under signal no.3.
Based on the 11 pm bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), “Karen” was spotted 160 km east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes.
Signal number 2 is raised in Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte, Pagasa said.
Pagasa added light to moderate with occasional heavy rains will affect portion of Quezon province, which may persist for the next three hours. Quezon is under signal number 1.
In Mindanao area, light to moderate rains affect Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, Bukidnon, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Davao Oriental, Davao del Sur, Compostela Valley, which may persist within two to three hours, Pagasa said.
