DepEd bats for ADHD
The Department of Education has urged schools nationwide to hold activities to mark National Attention Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) Awareness Week and promote understanding and acceptance of persons with the disability among their students.
In a memorandum, Education Undersecretary Alberto Muyot instructed DepEd officials and heads of public and private elementary and high schools to conduct activities from Oct. 16 to 22 that would campaign for equal rights and access to basic services often denied to persons with disabilities—such as education, health and development.
