Prince William recalled his sweet memories with his mother, the late Princess Diana, during a special visit to Keech Hospice in England.

Together with his wife, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, the prince consoled a boy grieving the passing away of his mother, and in the process confessed that he still misses his mother 19 years since her death on August 31, 1997, Express reported.

Prince William, 34, had a touching conversation with 14-year-old Ben Hines, whose mother succumbed to cancer this year.

“I know how you feel. I still miss my mother every day–and it’s 20 years after she died,” the royalty said. “The important thing is to talk about it as a family. It’s okay to feel sad, it’s okay for you to miss her.” Prince William was just 15 years old when Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris.

Hines promised to Prince William that he would always communicate with his brothers Thomas, 20, and Richard, 24, and their father Gary, 48, to ease their anxiety, Telegraph reported.

“As four boys, you have to talk a lot better–we’re not good sharers. It’s a classic example of lots of talking needed,” Prince William advised.

The Duchess of Cambridge also bonded with and embraced two boys who lost their older brother two years ago. The royal couple was handed bottles of colored sand, an object used to cure children’s bereavement in the hospice.  Gianna Francesca Catolico
