De Lima calls matrix linking her to drugs trade ‘rubbish’
Senator Leila de Lima on Thursday dismissed as ”rubbish” the matrix released by President Rodrigo Duterte which supposedly revealed her links to the illegal drugs trade.
In a press conference, De Lima said that the matrix only contained arrows and names that failed to establish her involvement in illegal drugs inside the New Bilibid Prison.
“As I have often said, I will not dignify any further this so-called ‘drug matrix’ which any ordinary lawyer knows too well, properly belongs to the garbage can,” De Lima said.
The senator said that Duterte’s drug matrix can be drawn by a 12-year-old child.
“Lahat po ng arrow, palabas sa pangalan ko. Wala pong tumuturo papunta sa akin,” she said.

She also said that her staff observed that the matrix is replete with errors in grammar and logic.
Duterte released early Monday morning a matrix which supposedly shows De Lima’s involvement in the illegal drugs trade.
It also named incumbent Pampanga Rep. Amado Espino, De Lima’s former driver Ronnie Dayan, Bureau of Corrections Gen. Franklin Bucayo, Pangasinan Board Member Raul Sison, and a certain “Ms Cardenosa.” CDG/rga
