Sandigan OKs Junjun Binay’s US trip to see daughter
A division of the Sandiganbayan has granted the motion of former Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay to go to the United States to bring his daughter to see an immunologist.
“The Court, over the prosecution’s opposition, hereby resolves to grant accused permission to travel abroad to Los Angeles, California, United States of America (USA) to accompany his daughter on her appointment with immunologist Dr. Ricardo Tan,” a portion of the resolution read.
Binay would leave the country on Aug. 15 and should be back not later than Aug. 24.
The Court also limited his itinerary to Los Angeles, California only.
He was also asked to deposit a P680,000 travel bond.
