‘Bato’ warns police: No playing golf during office hours

No more playing golf during work hours.

Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa gave this warning to police officials slacking off and golfing while on the job.

“During office hours, I don’t want to see any one of you playing at the golf course,” Dela Rosa said before policemen and high-ranking officials in his first flag raising ceremony at Camp Crame on Monday morning.

“I’ll take this opportunity para sabihin sa inyo. Henceforth, from now on, pagbabawal ko na sa lahat yung pag-go-golf during office hours. Mabuti sana ‘yung mga golfers diyan, magalit na kayo kung magalit, basta mag-trabaho muna kayo, mamaya na yung golf,” he said.

Not only in golf courses but Dela Rosa also said he will punish cops betting money in casinos and cockpits.

“Ipagbabawal ko ‘yang pag-punta ng mga kapulisan sa mga sugalan, sa mga sabungan, sa mga casino. Mayroon po akong nakitang pulis nating nasa sabungan, nasa mga casino, malilintikan kayo sa akin,” he said.
