DepEd gives awards to Adopt-a-School program partners

In one of his last acts as secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd), Bro. Armin Luistro led the awarding of certificates of recognition to DepEd partners in the government’s Adopt-a-School program.

One of the recipients of the award is the agri and food conglomerate La Filipina Uygongco Group of Companies (LFUGC).

Uygongco Foundation Inc. executive director Pia Gan-Uygongco and Philippine Foremost Milling Corporation (PMFC) administrative manager Flex Cabasa received the award in behalf of LFUGC. Also present during the awarding rites was DepEd Undersecretary Mario Derequito.

Flour, fertilizer and animal feed maker LFUGC is one of DepEd’s most active partners in Region 6.
