Santiago ‘bearing well’ despite being rushed to ICU, says husband
Despite being taken to the intensive care unit of the Makati Medical Center, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago is “bearing well,” her husband, Narciso Santiago, said.
The senator is now at the intensive care unit of the Makati Medical Center after being rushed to the hospital Monday, a statement from her office quoted her husband as announcing on Wednesday.
Santiago, who has stage 4 lung cancer, suffered complications and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital, according to her husband Narciso Santiago.
Last Tuesday night, the 70-year-old senator was transferred from her private room to the ICU.
Her husband said the senator was “bearing well with her trademark sense of humor.”
