WATCH: Syrian children most vulnerable in refugee camps

The United Nations (UN) has released a video of children and their families fleeing the conflict in Syria and ending up in refugee camps where their future remain uncertain.

In the video, their parents talk about finding safe refugee camps through the UN but at the same time recalling the desperation they felt and experienced as they sought to escape the Syrian civil war.

Among the main concerns of the families is keeping their children warm and safe from hypothermia.

According to the UN, thousands of women and children live in makeshift camps in Greece’s northern border. The Idomeni camp alone is home to 4,000 children, with doctors warning that conditions are dangerous for them.
