Abu Sayyaf frees Chinese woman after two-year captivity
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Abu Sayyaf bandits freed a Chinese woman they kidnapped nearly two years ago from Basilan.
Superintendent Wilfredo Cayat, Sulu provincial police director, said Yahong Tan Lim was freed at about 1 p.m. on Tuesday in Barangay Danag, Patikul, Sulu.

She was immediately “secured by members of the ant- kidnapping group.”

Lim was kidnapped with her mother, Dina Tan Iraham, on May 22, 2014.
Iraham, a Chinese businesswoman married to a Basilan local, was earlier freed although there was no report of ransom payment.
