Liberal Party vice presidential candidate Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo twitted Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for shrugging off the support given to her by presidential sister and actress Kris Aquino.

Robredo said that it is too soon to tell whether Aquino’s support will not have any bearing on Marcos’ campaign.

(I don’t think he has the authority to say whatever the endorsement’s effect will be in my campaign. I don’t think that only one person can say that until we have a clearer picture of the results.)

The Camarines Sur representative thanked Aquino anew for her support. Robredo said that she does not usually solicit support of celebrities for her campaign.

(I thank Kris because I don’t usually solicit for this kind of support but she was the one who volunteered; not only did she volunteer her services, she also shouldered the cost of the production.)

(Who will say no to Kris Aquino: the country’s number one endorser, and is known not to endorse people or products she does not believe in? That’s why it’s a big deal for me.)

On Tuesday, Marcos said that the Aquino’s support to Robredo did not come as a surprise for him.

“That is expected, I’m surprised that it is only now,” Marcos said.

Robredo said that it was Aquino who paid for the production and TV spots for some of her political ads.
