Marcos ‘least liked’ bet to win—SWS mobile poll respondents
Among the six vice presidential candidates in the upcoming May elections, Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is said to be the “least liked” by the respondents of the Social Weather Stations (SWS)-Bilang Pilipino mobile survey to win the second highest position in the land.
The results of the March 31 survey, which were released on Tuesday, showed that 22 percent of the 757 respondents do not like Marcos to win the vice presidency.
Senators Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan and Antonio Trillanes IV followed Marcos as “least liked” vice presidential bets with 13 percent each.
Seven percent of the respondents said that they do not want Camarines Sur representative Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo to get the position that is a heartbeat away from the presidency. Senators Francis “Chiz” Escudero and Alan Peter Cayetano each got six percent of the respondents thumbing down their bids for the vice presidency.
Thirty-three percent of the respondents said “I don’t know” to the question as to whom they do not like to win as vice president.
Article continues after this advertisementAcross all geographical areas, Marcos emerged as the least liked candidate to win the post. He was also not favored to win by respondents from both the urban (25 percent) and rural (18 percent) areas.
Article continues after this advertisementMarcos was also the most mentioned disliked candidate from class ABC (34 percent), class D (21 percent) and class E (22 percent).
The namesake of the late dictator was also the most disliked candidate among men (22 percent) and women (21 percent) respondents.
The same survey earlier said that Marcos is in a statistical tie with Robredo in second place. Escudero, meanwhile, maintained his lead.
The survey has a sampling error margins of ±4 percent for national percentages, ±7 percent in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. RAM
