Red Cross volunteer missing after swim training in Olongapo

OLONGAPO CITY – A 56-year-old Philippine Red Cross (PRC) volunteer has been missing since dawn on Wednesday, after participating in water safety training at a beach here, police said.

Search and rescue efforts are underway to find Rodelio Ramos, a resident of Barangay (village) Mabayuan here.

Police said Ramos disappeared at 4 a.m. after joining the basic water safety training conducted by the PRC Olongapo Chapter at Driftwood Beach in Barangay Barretto here. The training involved a one-mile swimming activity, according to other volunteers. CDG
