Missing UP student Ian Calalang returns home–report
Ian Jasper Calalang, the University of the Philippines Diliman freshman student who was reported missing last month, has returned home, according to the Philippine Collegian.
The report said Calalang’s mother confirmed that her son arrived at their home in Cainta, Rizal, at around 11 p.m. on Monday.
In January, Calalang was reported missing after leaving their home to enroll at the UP campus in Quezon City.
Calalang’s aunt Marissa Patawaran previously said the engineering student was able to text his parents that he had arrived at the UP campus. But Patawaran said the parents later learned that Calalang was not able to enroll.
The report said Calalang’s family declined to disclose details on what happened to him for 21 days after he went missing. RC
