USC netters dominate Baseline Tennis

UNIVERSITY of San Carlos (USC) tennisters dominated the first-ever Baseline Junior Tennis Cup 2011 after clinching the titles in their respective categories yesterday at the tennis courts of the Baseline Sports and Recreation Center.

Making USC proud were Fritz Satera, who clinched the 16-under boys title; Kizzia Jabines, who grabbed the 16-under girls title; Jan Godfrey Seno, who dominated in the 12-under boys; and Marc Suson, who ruled in the 10-under unisex.

Satera outclassed John Michael Necesario, 10-6; Jabines routed Kimberly Uytico, 10-3; Seno outclassed Zudie Karl Balundo, 10-3; and Suson dismissed Coleen Maxilum, 10-2.

Other winners were Joshua Kinaadman, who pocketed the 14-under boys title against Wismark Basanar, 10-4; Shyne Villareal, who copped the 14-under girls title against Sheena Camporedondo, 10-6; and Allysa Bornia, who bagged the 12-under girls title against Zethley Mae Alferez, 10-6.

Baseline organized the event as part of its 38th anniversary celebration, marking the first time that it sponsored its own tennisfest.
