Solons take selfie with Miss Universe; House workers try in vain
The people at the House of Representatives on Tuesday tried in vain to take a selfie with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
The reigning queen’s arrival turned the House into a frenzy, with some employees waving Philippine flags while calling out her name.
Wurtzbach was initially set to have a moment to take photos with some of the employees and the media at the Speaker’s Hall.
But the commotion cut short the photo opportunity, as some employees crowded around a tense-looking Wurtzbach surrounded by her security escorts from Miss Universe Organization.
Wurtzbach headed out of the hall with a disappointed crowd trailing behind her.

When Wurtzbach arrived at the plenary to be conferred a congressional medal of distinction, the solons lined up to greet the reigning queen.
The congressmen on the floor, like Majority Leader Neptali Gonzales II, were able to secure a selfie with the queen.
Belmonte presided the session and conferred Wurtzbach the medal of distinction, asking her mother to join them in the podium.
One lucky employee, however, beat the odds to take a selfie with the Miss Universe.
When Wurtzbach was being escorted out of the plenary to her vehicle, the woman was able to convince her to scroll the window down.
“Pia, selfie!” the employee exclaimed.
Wurtzbach gladly agreed for the lucky fan. RC
