Cebuana Lhuillier caging opens

AS a tuneup for the upcoming season in the PBA D-League, the Cebuana Lhuillier Gems play host to three other squads—the Pacific Pipes, PC Gilmore and Cafe France—in the Cebuana Lhuillier-Pera Padala Invitationals, which kicks off today at the Arena in San Juan.

Pacific Pipes will face PC Gilmore in the opening game. It will be followed by a match between Cafe France and Cebuana Lhuillier Gems.

“To put more excitement in the tournament, we are giving away P50,000 cash and trophy to the winning team, P30,000 cash and trophy to the second placer, P15,000 cash and trophy to the third placer, and P5,000 cash and trophy to the fourth placer,” said the Cebuana Lhuillier Gems Team Manager Beaujing Acot.   /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
