‘Shabu’ bust nets 3 at Taguig mall terminal

THREE people were arrested Friday afternoon for drug peddling in a buy-bust operation conducted in a transport terminal at Market! Market! mall, Bonifacio Global City, in Taguig.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as Salvador Mendoza Jr., 31; Ronald Limpot, 34, and Edna Limpot, 30, who were caught selling about 100 grams “shabu” worth P2,000 to an undercover agent.

Supt. Lorenzo Trajano, chief of the SPD task force on antiillegal drugs, said a loaded .45-caliber pistol was also seized from the suspects. Mendoza and Ronald Limpot were the ones who actually handed the drug to the buyer, while Edna Limpot arrived at the scene later in a bid to stop the arresting officers, Trajano said.

The three remained in detention at the Taguig police headquarters to face charges in the city prosecutor’s office. Kristine Felisse Mangunay
