Alan Cayetano on Marcos stalking Duterte: Am not jealous
Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano says he is not the jealous type. You can ask his wife.
Cayetano says he feels “very secure” as the vice presidential running mate of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte despite reports that Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is trying to forge a coalition with the PDP-Laban standard-bearer.
Marcos, the vice presidential running mate of Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, was reportedly traveling with Duterte to Sarangani province on Friday for the Munato Festival.
Committed and decisive
“I am not a jealous type. You can ask my wife. Four or five can tail him, because I am sure that he is committed to me and our partnership is very secure and mature,” Cayetano said on Friday, commenting on reports about Marcos’ overtures to Duterte.

“It’s very clear that the goal is to make Duterte win. The VP cannot run the country,” he said, stressing that his camp was going all-out for Duterte.
Cayetano said he would be with Duterte in Davao City on the weekend to attend to some activities to which they were both invited.
On Thursday, Duterte told the Inquirer that he rejected Marcos as his running mate because he had already taken in Cayetano as his Vice President.
Statistical tie
A Pulse Asia survey in Metro Manila released this week showed Cayetano and Marcos statistically tied in the race for the vice presidency.
It showed Cayetano had a voter support of 20 percent and Marcos, 24 percent.
The privately commissioned poll had a margin of error of plus-or-minus 5 percent.
