3 suspects in stealing tricycle dead in shootout with cops in Tarlac

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — At least three men suspected of stealing a tricycle were killed in a shootout with policemen in Tarlac City on Saturday night, a report reaching this regional police camp on Sunday said.

The report said a team from the Tarlac City police, the Tarlac provincial police, and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) engaged the suspects who were aboard the stolen motorcycle in Barangay Tibag at 8:27 p.m.

Police, as of Sunday, had yet to identify the slain suspects.

Recovered from them were three .38 cal. revolvers, bullets, and a tricycle owned by Sonny Medrano of La Paz town in Tarlac.
