LEGAZPI CITY – Three detainees escaped from the detention facility of a police station in Tabaco City, Albay on Friday morning.

Senior Superintendent Marlo Meneses, Albay provincial police director, said the three suspects–all held on illegal drug charges–bolted out of jail by sawing off the metal bars of their detention cell around 5 a.m.

They were identified as Virgilio Bonaobra, 30, of San Roque, Tabaco City;  Randel Ryan Carbonel, 38, of Mariroc, Tabaco City; and Mark Anthony Yacat, 23, of Virac, Catanduanes. They were all charged with violation of Republic act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
