Thunderstorm drenches parts of Metro, nearby provinces

Heavy rain hits parts of Quezon City. NESTOR CORRALES/INQUIRER.NET

Thunderstorm hit parts of Metro Manila and nearby provinces on Wednesday afternoon.

“Thunderstorm is affecting Metro Manila (Quezon City, northern Caloocan, Marikina) Batangas, Cavite (Alfonso, Mendez), Rizal (San Mateo, Antipolo, Cainta), Bulacan (Bocaue, Balagtas, Guiguinto, Malolos) which may persist within two hours,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in an advisory at 3:15 p.m.

These areas were warned of heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flashfloods.

Thunderstorm is expected over Zambales, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, and other areas of Metro Manila, Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan within the next two hours. IDL
