4 illegal drugs suspects killed in Bulacan shootout

NORZAGARAY, Bulacan — A suspected illegal drug dealer and his three companions were killed in a shootout with policemen in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Minuyan here on Thursday, police said.

Supt. Joel Estaris, Norzagaray police chief, said one of the slain suspects, identified only as Sati, was the top illegal drug dealer in the town. Sati’s companions—identified only as Lotlot, Dindo and Deck—also died in the gunfight in a house in Barangay Minuyan at 9:30 a.m.

Estaris said they recovered two handguns, two improvised shotguns, a grenade, dried marijuana leaves and “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) from the slain suspects. Police have yet to determine the quantity and value of the recovered illegal drugs. Carmela Reyes-Estrope, Inquirer Central Luzon
