/ 04:53 PM October 07, 2011

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) has started conducting spot inspection of electric lights and other Christmas decorations sold in Divisoria and other malls to make sure the products pass standards of safety, DTI undersecretary Zeny Maglaya said Friday.

In an interview on Radyo Inquirer 990AM, Maglaya said the DTI has released a list of brands that have passed the Bureau of Products Standards.

She also said that prices of vegetables have increased in the aftermath of Typhoons “Pedring” and “Quiel”, which battered parts of Luzon where the vegetables were grown.
