2 dead, 1 hurt in tricycle in motorcycle collision in Zambales
SAN MARCELINO, Zambales — Two persons died while another was hurt after a tricycle hit a motorcycle in Barangay La Paz here on Sunday night, police said on Monday.
Inspector Geoffrey Javier, acting police chief of San Marcelino town, said Darryl Lester Sabado, 26, and Eunil Ogao-Ogao, 22, died while being taken to the San Marcelino District Hospital.
Javier said the collision happened at 7 p.m. when the tricycle, driven by Sabado, overtook a motorcycle before colliding head-on with the motorcycle driven by Ogao-Ogao.
The impact threw off Sabado and Ogao-Ogao from their vehicles. The tricycle later caught fire, Javier said.
Police said Sabado was drunk at the time of the accident.
