Senate looks into easing economic impact of metro traffic

The Senate began its inquiry on Monday on the worsening traffic condition in Metro Manila.

The hearing by the Senate committee on economic affairs joint with the committee on public works was initiated by Senator Bam Aquino.

Aquino wanted to take a look at probable strategies and solutions to address the economic impact of the worsening traffic conditions in the metropolis.

Among those invited in the hearing were National Economic and Development Authority Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, and representatives from the Department of Transportation and Communication, Metro Manila Development Authority, Department of Public Works and Highways, and transport groups.
