INC protesters vs De Lima swell to more than 2,000

As of 10 p.m., more than 2,000 Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) members have already flocked outside the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Padre Faura, Manila to protest the government’s interfering in their internal affairs.

Superintendent Albet Barot, Manila Police Station 5 Commander said crowd estimate is already 2,000 and counting.

He said more members are still walking towards Padre Faura from every direction.

The police said they believe that the bus used by INC members have been parked along Rizal Park.

INC has set up a stage in front of DOJ with a big screen on top of a small truck.

INC Minister Arnel Tumanan reiterated calls for the government to respect freedom of religion and as well as the separation of Church and State.

ABS-CBN star Jon Lucas also performed at the INC assembly.

Mini documentaries were shown to members who braved the rain.
