Odiongan mayor dies
MAYOR Baltazar “Boy” Firmalo of Odiongan, the most progressive municipality of Romblon province, died early Wednesday. He was 66.
Baltazar, son of former Odiongan mayor Alfonso Firmalo and a cousin of incumbent Romblon Gov. Eduardo Firmalo, was brought Tuesday night to the provincial hospital due to high blood pressure and died around 2:35 a.m. Wednesday, the governor’s daughter and chief of staff, Trina Firmalo, said in a text message to the Inquirer.
The mayor, who was on his third and last term, is survived by his wife Fe and their four children.
Details of his wake and interment have yet to be announced by the family. Maricar Cinco
