Trillanes on being Mar’s VP: Count me out
A Roxas-Trillanes ticket for the 2016 elections is off the table.
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said he had asked Malacañang to remove his name from any shortlist of possible running mates of Liberal Party presidential candidate Interior Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II.
I already told Malacañang to take me off its consideration as runningmate) Trillanes said in an interview over Radyo Inquirer 990 AM on Sunday.
The senator explained that he did not share the Aquino administration’s views on some issues.
It will create more problems,” (We have opposing views like with the K-12 program. In regard to the RH law, I oppose mandatory sex education for grade six students) he said.
