SWAT-Mandaue gets new chief
SUPT. Jason Lawas Capoy was named the new officer in charge of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) in Mandaue City.
Capoy replaced Insp. Diosdado Malazarte, who was ordered relieved by Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo, chief of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).
Garbo was upset when he found the SWAT office at the Park Mall empty and messy during a surprise visit last Monday.
Capoy’s assumption came after a whole day conference at the PRO-7 yesterday.
Capoy is also the deputy city director for operations.
Capoy said he will meet with the SWAT members and will let them undergo basic drills. He said he will make sure that the SWAT office will be tidy and manned at all times.
