Lacion to host Milo, Gullas tennis events

THE Cebu International Tennis Centre Inc. (CITCI )-rehabilitated Consolacion Tennis Courts in Laray Consolacion will host its first major age-group tournaments — the MILO Junior Tennis Cup from May 26 to 29 and the Gullas Cup on May 30.

The MILO tournament is organized by the Children’s Tennis Workshop in coordination with the CITCI and will feature singles events for boys and girls 18-under, 16-under, 14-under, 12-under and the unisex 10-under.

Jovy Mamawal, who has been organizing the MILO tennis event since 1988, said a doubles event will also be contested at the eight newly rehabilitated clay and hardcourts.

The MILO netfest is supported by Wilson Balls and Philta region-7 VP Jess Lagman and is a Group 3 Philta-sanctioned tournament.

Deadline for registration will be noontime on Tuesday, May 24 at Laray Consolacion with the draw to follow immediately. Entry fee is P300 per singles event, while the doubles requires no registration.
