4.5-magnitude quake jolts Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck off Zamboanga del Sur around 9:44 a.m. Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported.
Phivolcs said the tectonic quake had a depth of 23 kilometers and occurred at sea some 16 kilometers southeast of Vicenzo Sagun town.
Engineer Rommel Allan Labayog of Phivolcs Zamboanga said the quake was felt here at Intensity I although the Phivolcs website said it was at Intensity II.
