Poe: I may lack experience but I’m faithful to the people
She may not have enough experience in public service but Sen. Grace Poe said she is faithful to the people.
This was how Poe defended herself on Monday from continued attacks against her supposed lack of experience to lead the country in case she decides to run for president in 2016.
(It’s true that others have more experience. For me, I just want to improve the plight of the people. In my view, the big step is to have leaders who will be sincere in doing public service.)
Poe was not sure though if Vice President Jejomar Binay was referring to her when the latter spoke about “inexperience and newbies” in government during the launch of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) last July 1.

Until now, Poe said she has not decided yet whether or not to run for president despite the latest survey, which showed that she was the voters’ top choice for president next year.
But while she has yet to make a decision, the senator lamented that there are people who are now planning to destroy and pull her down.
(At times, I wonder if such a situation is right and whether I can bear the sacrifice. But when I think of what should be done to improve the lives of the people, to ensure there is sincerity in government, all of us have a stake in this, no matter what the position–private or the Senate, or wherever we are.)
