A SOUTHBOUND train of the Philippine National Railways was derailed on Wednesday afternoon, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported.

MMDA said the accident happened past 4 p.m. between the Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (Edsa) and Nichols station in Taguig City.

Paul de Quiros, PNR consultant, in a radio interview, said that five passengers sustained minor injuries after two of its coaches fell on their side.

De Quiros said medical personnel have been deployed to the area to assist the affected passengers. AC
