Enrile back in Crame hospital after Makati Med stay
MANILA, Philippines — After almost two weeks of confinement at the Makati Medical Center for pneumonia, detained-Senator Juan Ponce Enrile is back at the Philippine National Police General Hospital (PNP GH) in Camp Crame.
Chief Inspector Raymond Santos, PNP medical spokesperson, told reporters Thursday that the senator, who turned 91 last February 14, was back at the specialty ward of the PNP GH where he is under hospital arrest.
Santos said Enrile’s condition had improved since he was rushed to the Makati hospital for coughing up blood and having high fever.

Taking note of the senator’s medical condition, Santos said he personally believed that it would be best for the lawmaker to be placed under house arrest.

Due to his advanced age and frail health, the court has ordered that Enrile be held at the PNP GH.
Meanwhile, his fellow senators and co-accused Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla are detained at the PNP Custodial Center, some 100 meters away from the police hospital.
