Skyway 3 works to affect Osmeña southbound lanes

/ 01:18 AM February 14, 2015

Access to the southbound lanes of Osmeña Highway, from Vito Cruz to Quirino Avenue in Manila, will be reduced to three lanes over the weekend as Skyway Stage 3 proponent Citra Central Expressway Corp. implements an expansion program affecting piers S1-P50 to S1-P59, between San Andres and Zobel Streets. Two of the outer southbound lanes may be used by motorists going straight to Buendia onward to Magallanes, while a portion of the existing median island, which was converted into a 3.5-meter zipper lane, will be for motorists turning left on Zobel Street. The traffic plan is a coordinated effort among Citra, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau. Skyway Stage 3 is a 14.8-kilometer elevated expressway with eight access points that will connect South Luzon Expressway with North Luzon Expressway from Buendia in Makati City to Balintawak in Quezon City.
