More than 20,000 police officers promoted
MANILA, Philippines–Amid the crisis faced by the Philippine National Police (PNP) organization, a mass promotion will be given to more than 20,000 commissioned and noncommissioned policemen.
A total of 20,614 policemen based in Camp Crame and police regional offices will be promoted to their next higher rank in a simultaneous oath-taking and pinning of ranks on December 8.
About 1,475 commissioned officers and 19,139 noncommissioned officers made it to the 2014 regular promotion program.
In the PNP national headquarters in Camp Crame, there are 143 commissioned officers and 734 non-commissioned officers under national support units, command group and directorial staff who were promoted.
Commissioned officers are those with ranks higher than Police Inspector while noncommissioned officers are officers with ranks from Senior Police Officer 4 below.
