Police nab 3 suspects in killing of mine exec
DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur—Three suspects in the September 2011 killing of an executive of the South Cotabato-based Sagittarius Mines Inc. (SMI) were arrested inside a cockpit in Malalag, Davao del Sur, the police announced Saturday.
Senior Supt. Michael John Dubria, Davao del Sur police director, identified the suspects as Dennis Bacus, Jarlito Inojales and Luis Duterte.
He said the three men were implicated in the killing of Cris Bual, SMI off-site land acquisition superintendent, in Davao City. Bual was walking in Central Park Subdivision, where he lived when he was attacked.
“They were arrested based on a warrant issued by the court,” Dubria said.
Chief Insp. Dave Mejia, provincial chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, said the authorities also seized three handguns from the suspects.
The suspects are now in custody of the CIDG and will be presented to the court that issued the warrant of arrest to determine where they would be locked up.
